Multiplication Properties
The Zero Property: When you multiply any number by 0, the answer is always 0. For example, 3 x 0 = 0 and 0 x 6 = 0.
The Identity Property: When you multiply any number by 1, the answer is always that number. For example, 7 x 1 = 7 and 1 x 9 = 9.
The Commutative Property: When you multiply two numbers, you can switch the order and still get the same answer. For example, 2 x 3 = 3 x 2.
Multiplication of 1 digit by 1 digit number
Let us multiply 3 by 4
So, 3 × 4 = 12
Multiplication of 2 digit by 1 digit number
Let us multiply 23 by 2
2 tens × 2 ones3 ones × 2 ones
So, 23 × 2 = 46
