HEIGHTS AND DISTANCE 
Line of sight : Let \(\overleftrightarrow {OX}\) be a horizontal line an ‘p’ be the position of object above (or) below the horizontal line, then the line joiining ‘O’ and ‘p’ is called line of sight.

Note :  The height of the observer will be neglected  in  the problems unless otherwise stated 
from the adjacent figure \(\angle {XQA} =\angle {QAP} \)
