Painting and Sculpture
Several styles of painting and sculpture are practised in India.

Painting
Painting is quite varied in India. A number of styles of painting have become popular in India, such as Kangra style, Sikh style, Buddhist style, Mughal style, Hyderabad style etc. The modern style combines many of these together. There are many famous painters in the modern times such as Amrita Shergil, Raja Ravi Varma, Jamini Roy etc. Bhangra Bharatnatyam Mridang.


Sculpture
Religious statues and idols are popular in Hindu temples. In addition, a large number of other statues too are made in India. The Nataraja is a very famous form of sculpture. These are made from stone, silver and other metals. The Ajanta and Ellora Caves are fine examples of sculpture.


Architecture
India has a rich heritage in architecture, dating back to ancient times. A wide range of structures including monuments, religious buildings, forts, and palaces have been constructed across the country.
