India is home to hundreds of languages. The Constitution of India recognises 23 of these. These are:

Indian attire varies widely across the country, with popular traditional garments including the dhoti-kurta for men and saree-blouse for women. Salwar-kameej is also widely worn. In urban areas, modern clothing such as pants, shirts, T-shirts, jeans, and skirts are also common. Both men and women also enjoy wearing jewelry, including rings, earrings, and chains.
