Measurement of Capacity
Capacity is the amount of any liquid that a container can hold.
For example: The capacity of a glass is the amount of water that the glass can hold.
Standard unit of capacity is litre.
To measure small capacities, we use millilitre.
In short
Litre is used for measuring large capacities & millilitre is used for measuring small capacities
Following different capacities are used to measure different types
5 drops of water are about 1 ml.
Ø 1 teaspoon contains about 5 ml of milk
Ø A small cup may contain about 100 ml of coffee
Ø 1 cup may contain about 250 ml of tea or coffee.
Ø Drinks or Juices sell in bottles of 200-250 ml, 500 ml, 1l, 2l etc
